Do we need any vaccinations?
Yellow Fever: If you are traveling from or transiting through a Yellow Fever risk country, ( you may be required to show proof of vaccination. Please see the list here-
Malaria Precautions: Some safari destinations may be in malaria-prone areas, so we recommend consulting your doctor for recommendations about malaria prophylaxis. Though we have chosen areas that are out of the malaria prone area on this trip we still advice to get the recommendation from your doctor.​​

- Do we need a visa?

Visa requirements depend on your nationality and the country you are visiting. Some countries like USA, Canada, Uk, Jamaica and most of Europe (including France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain) allow visa free entry, while others may require a visa-on-arrival or an eVisa.

We will guide you through the visa process and assist with any necessary documentation if you are from a country that requires Visa.

How do we pay?

You only need to pay $350 at sign-up, and the rest of the payment can be split in a way that works best for you. Our sign-up page is set up to allow flexible payment options, so you can choose what suits you best.

Where do we fly to?

For your trip, you will need to arrive at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and depart from Cape Town International Airport. We kindly request all flight details in advance so we can ensure a smooth meet-and-greet experience upon arrival and arrange seamless airport drop-offs for your departure.

How do we travel from Johannesburg to Cape Town? Are these flights included?

We take a commercial flight between Johannesburg and Cape Town, which is approximately 2 hours long.

These flights are included in your package. Checked baggage allowance is typically 20-23kg (44-50 lbs) per person. Carry-on baggage is limited to 7kg (15 lbs) per person.

How do we get to the hotel from the airport?

A private transfer will be arranged for you upon arrival, ensuring a seamless and comfortable transition from the airport to your hotel.

Where can I exchange money?

Currency exchange is available at airports and banks.

Rates are usually better at banks or ATMs. (We would usually recommend ATMs)

Credit cards are widely accepted in major cities, but having some cash on hand is useful for any additional tipping and purchases in remote areas and markets.

How much extra money should I bring?

We recommend bringing USD 70 – 150 per day for personal expenses, drinks, shopping, and optional activities.

Most meals and activities are included, but you may want extra cash for souvenirs, spa treatments, or additional excursions.

How do we tip?​

Your host will take care of tipping for hotel staff, restaurant servers, porters, guides, and other helpers, so you can fully enjoy your trip without worrying about gratuities.

Safari Lodges: Many lodges have a tip box where you can leave USD 20-40 per day, which is shared among all the staff.

You are welcome to tip your host at the end of the trip in any way you see fit.

What is the food like?

The cuisine is a mix of local African flavors and international dishes, catering to all dietary preferences.

Cape Town & Johannesburg are known for their world-class fine dining, seafood, and wine.

Safari Lodges offer gourmet meals, often with locally sourced ingredients.

We accommodate most dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, nut-free, soy-free, keto, paleo, diabetic-friendly, low-sodium, Flexitarian, Pescatarian, etc.

What else should we bring?

Comfortable walking shoes for city tours and safari excursions.

Lightweight, neutral-colored clothing for safari (to blend into the environment).

Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to protect against the African sun.

Bug repellent for safari lodges and nature walks.
-
Swimwear for beach destinations and pools at luxury lodge and hotels.

A light jacket or sweater for cooler evenings, especially in Cape Town.

A universal power adapter, as South Africa uses Type M plugs with 220-240 volts

Can I make some changes on the Itinerary?

We understand that you might have different preferences, but we're unable to make changes to the current itinerary. The schedule has been carefully planned and arranged with our local partners to ensure a smooth experience for everyone. Adjustments could disrupt these arrangements and affect the quality of the overall trip experience.

​​Will l have mobile network while on this trip?

Yes, there is extensive coverage throughout South Africa and East Africa, In some countries this may be primarily in and around urban areas. However South Africa networks cover all national roads, towns and cities, before travelling ask your mobile service provider to open your phone to allow international roaming.

We ensure that bottled water is available on all our vehicles while traveling, and hotels will also supply bottled water for your convenience. While tap water in South Africa is generally considered safe for consumption and meets national safety standards, most people prefer bottled water
